still, I should use this opportunity to sort out a proper way to do backups
there might be other stuff on this drive that I hadn't backed up but most of it's just… not important. Or stuff that's already online.
I did a whole thing of running a forensic analysis on the drive I partially wrote over just to realize I had actually backed up my photos to my NAS, I'd just not looked hard enough
