@pup_hime I'm pretty sure they also just… don't build 'em like they used to, like the DS5 having reports of stick drift after being out for a week sounds like parts are just made to be cheaper than the DS2 sticks
I think it's funny that all this talk about hall effect sticks (potentiometers have been in controllers for ages, they're actually pretty sturdy) completely ignores the original N64's stick which had optical encoders and still wore out like nobody's business because turns out the encoders aren't the only point of failure
@vantablack I'd try taking it apart, scroll wheel encoders are usually optical and incredibly easy to get gummed up by dust

@sara I've never had one actually fail but I've had one so completely filled with dust and gunk that it got really flaky

@listeninggarden Masto has theme support but they need to be added by the server admin, there's a pretty cool win95 theme and a bunch of servers come with custom themes
