@catzilla I run a freshRSS instance to read webcomics and it has this super handy feature where it can scrape the website content by css selectors and replace the feed with that. highly recommend.

also ideally I wanna merge the feeds so that's a buncha extra work including timestamp parsing

downside: I have to write a complete second parser because Mastodon uses RSS and cohost uses Atom or jsonfeed

okay, it's actually not that hard to parse RSS in Javascript

@joepie91 pretty sure Google Maps can't use OSM data because of their license, my money's on that particular map widget not handling the missing attribution well and falling back to its default

pet peeves: people keep calling "typing text on a numerical keypad" "T9" when T9 actually is a brand name for predictive text on a numerical keypad

as flawed as ffxiv's writing is (and this storyline certainly has its issues) I'm really excited how Gaius's story will develop
