tate mode doom! https://youtu.be/V74eiGAbvDk
oh heck, they are finally patching NieR: Automata on PC https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/524220/view/3006699289308512389
if I really just fixed my months of struggle with this setup just by turning Virtualization off that'd be great
mostly using this to verify that PBO set to Auto is doing about the same thing than limiting it to 110W (which is around what my Wraith Prism cooler can handle)
that's the virtualization feature, kinda annoying that it doesn't seem to work, considering I use WSL2 (though it does work without it)
when I turn "SVM Mode" on I can reliably hard crash the computer by playing Payday 2 online for a while, when I turn it off nothing happens
I tweaked so many voltages on this thing and that was the problem?
re: Steam Deck
also, for many games, this is the Switch Pro gamers have been asking for
it even plays Nintendo games, you can just install Dolphin
re: Steam Deck
oh, and you can install Windows on it, apparently https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/steamdeck/faq
re: Steam Deck
and like, other companies have proven that a small Ryzen-based handheld is doable, Valve has the money to get smaller, more optimized board designs and really tweak the design
I like getting games (even multiplatform indie games) on the Switch rather than on PC because I know I'll play them more if I have the option for handheld
not sure about the control configuration but I like that they kept the trackpads (I love the Steam Controller for many games) and more buttons on the back + Steam's excellent input remapping system means the buttons and D-Pad are very much optional, just keep your fingers on the sticks/pads
