Update: the police officers arrived to take the report at exactly 11pm.

They seemed surprised I was asleep in bed. They were courteous enough in the conversation, though.

Actually, that's a pretty useful thing to remind myself of, so I'm busting this out into its own post:

If I let a boundary lapse when it's inconvenient, I'm defeating the point of having it in the first place.

Also even if it's 11pm and raining, when (if) they arrive I'm not inviting any police officer into my home.

sucks for both of us but what's the point in having a boundary if I let it lapse when it's inconvenient.

I think it's really cool that I know a bunch of people who were AMAB, transitioned to something in the vicinity of "woman", then later moved to "oh my gender is way more interesting that that, imma re-adopt back a lot of guy-spectrum stuff."

Don't let people talk shit about "de-transition" or whatever as if there's one simple narrative.
