in my case, i find myself 1v1ing the same people pretty often if we have similar weapon range--so we get some time to learn a bit about how the other plays
sometimes exchanges can last nearly 30 seconds before there's a clear victor
it's fun..!
it's totally corny, but i feel kind of a kinship with opponents in splatoon when we face off enough and take turns very clearly outplaying each other

@vahnj more specifically, it's a domain block thing that only triggers when looking at another domain
so, if you are looking at pinafore.social and it tries to connect to any .space domain via websockets (like awoo.space), it gets blocked by the default adblocker rules of most blockers
@sc this rule seems to come from easyprivacy, where any websockets from .space third party domains are blocked (third party being why it doesn't affect awoo.space itself)

AFAIK, there aren't any notifications, so I'm just using the ones from my instance's PWA
