being optimistic isn't so much about thinking everything will always go perfectly; it's knowing that you can play an active role in deciding what chances you want to jump at

it's also about knowing that saying "yes" to more changes gives you a higher chance to find circumstances you like!

seeing the light at the end can be energizing!
and that's pretty important when energy is at a premium

you're allowed to change your situation--and nothing is final, so even if a change doesn't work out, you can do it again!

this realization, and shaping your situation can add up to a pretty big change in mindset
