3/5 of these - the ones that even have a concrete story - deal with learning to be compassionate or struggling with loss and negative emotions as a very core tenet of the narrative
QFG2 has Julanar - learning to empathize with someone who's gone through intense trauma and meeting them on their level
TWEWY has - well - everyone. Everyone's dead and trying to cope with it while fighting to come back to life.
BG2 deals with a destructive heritage & dealing w/ it

i came out in 2013 but the only coming out you do once is to yourself. beyond that, you come out all the time, because "coming out" is about defying the defaults that cis/hets presume. if not for cissupremacy, if not for the kyriarchy, no one would ever need to come out.

Rather than talk about work, here’s something about D&D.
The 2nd edition Monstrous Compendium describes how on full moons Death Knights will sing about their tragic fall from grace. That’s so Ravenloft.
BUT consider a death knight is the armored nigh skeletal cadaver of someone who was a knight in life, not necessarily someone who could carry a tune in a bucket helm.
So they probably sound a little like Tom Waits, only badly off key, muffled, and with weird echoes.
