(does a little more research and it dawns: "Ohhhhh, of COURSE! Because he lives in his mother's BASEMENT!")
Well, can we get him a decent apartment and THEN defenestrate him? =^____^=

Nobody's adequately explained to me yet why simply defenestrating Joshua Conner Moon is not a constructive option.
I am not necessarily advocating this action. I am simply proposing it for hypothetical discussion as part of a new sociological theory I call "window-centric gravitational discourse."
Current mood: heartbroken to discover the username "InvertedJenny" is already taken on Reddit.
morbid, fascinating history; cw: historical suicide mention

Mostly due to the association with the movie "Snatch," and the accompanying sense of throwing one's hands up in the air and going, "Okay, none of this story made the faintest sense, but I guess it turned out okay after all the sound and fury?"
I dunno, maybe it's a sign I'm getting ready to move on from the past year, or maybe it's just a mood.

TIL that the Republicans criticized the very existence of the "nuclear hotline" with Moscow for last-minute negotiations with the USSR, on the ground that it "sought accommodations with Communism" and "alienated proven allies" by deigning to communicate with The Enemy.
So yeah, basically, Republicans have been complete paranoid shitheads for decades.

Does anyone who remembers Level_Head or Prester Scott know where they are these days? I kinda have this urge to print out the above article and ram it up a libertarian's nasal passage really hard.
@Soreth "It's like a pair of eyes. You're looking at the umlaut, and it's looking at you." -- David St. Hubbins
@prpl@dragon.style @Soreth If you wanna get REALLY technical and nitpicky, and if I'm not mistaken: something more like "spoongal tap."

@Soreth I have so much respect for you for taking the time to punctuate that correctly, not to mention knowing where to find a dotless ı *and* an n-dieresis. :D <3
@Oneironott I don't know how well it's aged, but you might enjoy Kurt Vonnegut's novel Galapagos. Its central thesis is that human evolution to sapience was a REAL BAD IDEA and we'd all be better off "devolving" back into ottery things with better, less violent and forebrain-heavy, priorities...
thought-terminating clichés
@troodon It has a lot of different meanings, including oddly enough the literary movement that Stephen Crane and Mark Twain were a part of... but I don't think that's what our confused friend meant, either. I honestly don't think he knows what he meant.
@mawr They look like such a cozy winter friend!
thought-terminating clichés
"According to naturalism, gay doesn't work" -- an actual argument advanced by someone on the Adventure Time subreddit about why Bubblegum and Marceline can't really be a "gay" couple since they're "not even the same species."
I curse this befuddled stooge to discover the postfurry community someday. The resulting neurological damage should be very rewarding to watch.
