@Leucrotta @troodon Actually on reflection, that IS the sort of treasure that would attract SOME teams of 4-8 characters of levels 3-15.

But those teams of 4-8 characters of levels 3-15 would be the team of 4-8 characters of levels 3-15 equivalent of, say, us in high school versus everybody else in school. :p They'd be the adventuring equivalent of indie film fans. Which means they'd either be *real dangerous* or *real pathetic*, but either way you could probably talk 'em out of killing you.

i made linda belcher's voice actor cry tears of joy

i read linda belcher's mind and, for a tiny perfect second, played best friend to her when she needed it

i have never felt truly, honestly, authentically GAYER than i do at this moment 🌈🦄💖🏰🍾

re: spirituality talk

@Oneironott i think peg's habit of mangling it into something like "magickxqhjz" to mock its pretentiousness was one of the first things that made me fall in love with her <3

re: blaseball

@chimerror i'm new at this but as a tiger i think i'm supposed to hate those guys?

go tigerbeams? or something?

i just sang the kittens a filk of Curtis Mayfield's "Move On Up" that was entirely about learning how to pee and poop and Sugarfoot is VERY nonplussed

shenanigans, uspol, birdsite, pundits, fake scandals

i was just kinda proud of this one

what can i say, i'm still giggling at 'nothingbeef" n.n;

Well I've been posting a crapload of these all day so I want to ask you - if you were a god in Hades (the video game), what would be your boons?

re: postfurries, ego trips, hades, rpg mechanics, paracosms

@Soreth You always project so much *calm* in the face of rough waters, so I'm thinking some kind of storm goddess who hands out a lot of willpower bonuses and nasty-thing-canceling effects... and occasionally a really high damage, high MP cost move because great tiamat even the Neutral Goods gotta get bitey now and then... <3

friends of friends, comics, crosswords, more gloating

and apparently dana simpson (or her comic, i don't have the details) was a clue in the NYT crossword puzzle?

dana and i don't get along great, but i remember how utterly the bastards on crushyiffdestroy and vivisector mocked her for her "fake" comics deal, i am so proud of her for crushing these people without lifting a finger directly against them

i hope to god they know about this and are crying in their beer, 'cause i haven't heard of a single one of those motherfuckers who's achieved 1/100th of her success...

blaseball sorry

we gotta eat that damn book you know

re: Work, demons

@001zlnv i'll give you a 120 second grace period to fix that before i start in on the "mmm time curry" jokes 🐯

re: Work, demons

@001zlnv some corporate fucker askin' to get their palace raided?

postfurries, ego trips, hades, rpg mechanics, paracosms

That last reply of mine got me in the mood to design all the major players in postfurry (your characters, not your host organisms!) as Olympian gods with boon systems...

You are lavishly welcomed to join me in aggrandizing ourselves. XD I figure Rez's core mechanics are Fear, Confusion, Head-Noms, Loud Noises and Power Sits...

that moment when the cafe's music selection is pandering to you so hard, you switch over to headphones because if you're basically gonna hear your own playlist you might as well hear it on decent equipment...

@chimerror CLAWHAUSER 2024

(i know, i know, he's copaganda, but the liberals get something to feel good about and we finally get a scritchable potus...)

re: my thoughts on the recent death of james randi

@Cerulean oh on an unrelated note, poker quest is so good, thank you for recommending it! <3 <3

@Leucrotta Anthracite's dragon enbyfriend Enmerkar fearfully ponders this point every day of his dungeon-slacker life. D:

Fortunately, he's the only one who doesn't seem to get that a "hoard" of randomly generated ancient tomes in an non-Euclidean Sumerian library is not the sort of treasure that tends to attract teams of 4-8 characters of levels 3-15...

re: my thoughts on the recent death of james randi

@Cerulean I definitely soured on him after reading Will Storr's "The Unpersuadables." He communicated with Randi for the book (IIRC) and discovered that he genuinely, literally did not believe he was likely to have been wrong about a single opinion of significance in the entire course of his life. Once it was affirmed he was THAT kind of "rationalist," he was drummed right out of my heart. I did enjoy watch him debunk that guy on Real People though. *shrug*

If it gives you any sense of reassurance, though... the Reddit skeptic subreddit has taken a HARD turn to the left in recent times, and seems to have a strong going consensus that anthropogenic climate changes is damn real.

Now, don't get me wrong. They are still jerks.</leela>
