Planning myself loose schedule out and it feels like it's half dates so far
I think i can be assured I'm getting the Poly Seattle experience lol

Day 0 (yesterday) i flew out. It was smooth but long. I surprised @emanate with this picture drawn by my good local friend Blu. We kissed a lot. It was mostly kissing. I can't stop kissing this bird.

First day was quiet recovery followed by spontaneously fucking raving in a warehouse with @KawaSeadrake and @starkatt
This trip is amazing so far and everything has been IMMENSELY fluid. It feels like I've known everyone for so so many years and I'm returning home.
It has made me emotional how many folks have said "welcome home" and i just… gods.

I feared i was blowing this out of proportion and putting this tribe, city, and everything on a pedestal but now that I'm here experiencing it i see it realistically and I'm… yup still very much in love with this place and this community.

Walking around the city and seeing so much casually accepted queerness is amazing. Not getting stared at wherever i go is amazing. Being able to present as Me without this stares and awkward conversation breaks or stress is amazing

I get that I'm seeing it from someone visiting. But… its nice. I'm not… I'm not afraid here

@Oneironott I wish I were there, I'd drag you to Gasworks or Golden Gardens Parks, they're my favorites; @anthracite​ is always hanging out in the Ravenna Park to draw, and that's a nice one too.

@Leucrotta @Oneironott Mostly only in the summer, though it’s been warm enough to consider doing that still. It’s also still hella nice weather for a walk in the park in general.

(I am also regularly in Ravenna Park because I live like six blocks away from it. Not entirely sure it's a destination in itself?)

@green @Oneironott The Sound sorta counts, but I definitely need to go to the other side of the Olympics and meet the true coast.

@Oneironott @emanate one of my high school friends, when I lived in Humboldt County which is right on the Pacific ocean (you could see it from my house), told me he'd met someone on the beach and talked to her a bit. she was from--one of the flat Midwest states, and had never seen the ocean before, and he said she kept trailing off and turning to look at the waves. she said it was "completely overwhelming." I highly recommended the experience! ;)

@emanate @Oneironott the last time I went to visit Humbolt, I walked out to Trinidad Head--a big rock that sticks out into the ocean--found a good vantage point, and just sat with the ocean for... I don't know, at least an hour. I don't know about the Atlantic, I've never met it, but I know the Pacific has a distinct personality--for me, anyway. <3

@green @emanate believe it or not, it's less overwhelming to me living next to Lake Erie. It's the same " as far as the eye can see" thing. I guess folks that have never been here tend to not register is that BIG.

But yes, I'm honestly really excited to see the ocean again. I yearn for it so very much

Humbolt county is neat! Use to know some folks up in Arcata.

Still haven't experienced the wilder rocky coastline in this state but I need to.

@green @Oneironott I made the mistake of taunting the Indian Ocean once, back in my early days. I should've known better.
