The Electric Keet Workflow:

"Okay, gotta work up some rough models of my furniture so I can place it in my little virtual dollhouse— er, I mean, my virtual house blueprints. Plain rectangular prisms will do. I can bash all this out in an hour."
11:00
"That's one bookshelf done. Since it was easy, I actually modelled the sides, back, and shelves, and now it looks just like the real thing!"

"And there's the conference table, complete with rounded ends and trim...."

_EarthBound_ (SNES) rediscovered.
Oh. Oh my.
I recently replaced my really good headphones with an even better set.
Tonight, I put in the _EarthBound_ (SNES) soundtrack.
If you have never sat in a quiet room and listened to this game's soundtrack through studio-quality headphones – ones with a really good soundstage and really _clear_ sub-bass – then you have not yet felt its true power, especially in the context of the story.
If I can provide this environment for you, friends, I must.
our mod @thefishcrow has a Patreon! They put in *A LOT* of real good work on keeping this place safe and have been a pleasure to work through things with, and their art is super rad to boot!
Just in case anybody wants a hint at my politics – and this really is only a hint, because this is a really stripped down summary and lacks all nuance — then here you are:

Is anyone surprised? 😸
Who's that Pokémon? Oh, wait, it's just my fightstick, covered in construction dust from the next room over. Now that it's clean again, I can commence with the losing horribly in 3S! (That's _Street Fighter III: Third Strike_ for the uninitiated.)

...I really should do more customisation than just that sticker.
If you happen to be fond of my no-nonsense approach to utter nonsense – and don't have any medical conditions preventing you from enjoying panel-game-style podcasts – then you may enjoy a thing called _Facts But Better!_

A new episode just dropped. Quick, listen before the cargo cults start worshiping it as a charming but vengeful deity! https://awoo.space/media/h3PX20BOB21zqwntgRQ
Pronouns!
A couple months into my pronound-redefining campaign, "Invader Zim" hit the airwaves and I gave up, settling for "she" because at least nobody could justify screwing that up.
I'm actually just fine with "she" and "they" these days, and I'm really glad at least some segment of our society has finally made it to that point!
Pronouns!
—because the set I'd settled on were:
zie / zim / zir / zirs / zirself
What can I say? Every set had its flaws, and no matter what I chose, folks would find reasons to complain, so I went with what seemed to have the fewest drawbacks. This set avoided self-collision (each form is distinct), maintained compatibility with common English phonemes, held audible distinctness from existing words, all of that.
Pronouns!
In the year 2000 (*falsetto* In the year two-thoooousaaaaaand 🎶) and still hopped up on the heady rush of long-delayed teenage-style rebellion, I finally got enough courage together to start telling friends that I would be going by a new set of pronouns. Not to trivialise the efforts of "the kids these days", but at that time it wasn't so easy as plopping a couple words in a social media profile. I got a lot of pushback from my peers. Don't judge them too harshly, though—
Since @Fuego asked nicely and I'm probably a jerk for not mentioning directly in my profile, the pronouns I go by are the standard English "she" and "they" sets.
My amazing wife @literorrery just rolled over in bed, woke up enough to mumble, "This track is a great honey trap," and then fell fully asleep again before I could get clarification.
You heard it here first, folks. http://www.di.fm/tracks/57709/spacemusic – genre is "honey trap".
