If anyone's in south Seattle, avoid Compadre coffee. The white owner makes snide remarks about POC while her business is in a POC neighborhood. Adding to that, she's transphobic as hell and will forcefully deny the existence of fluid gender identity.

The anxiety demon that lives inside my head keeps trying to tell me that I... "toot like an old". Something about how I use capital letters, punctuation, rare emoticons, and basically no emoji.

I don't put any stock in what my anxiety demon says – that asshole is a liar and a fraud – but it does make me think....

What all do you folks think is off or strange or dated in how you type when you toot?

This film has the protagonist – who has just found out that the broken Reaganite capitalist nightmare is the result of widespread well-concealed alien control – carry a shotgun into a small convenience store (IIRC) and exclaim, "I am here to kick ass and chew bubblegum... and I'm all out of bubblegum."

Thirty years later, I still can't help but think of the missed opportunity for the cashier to respond dispassionately, "Candy and gum, second aisle."

i’m done putting this bad boy together, not as effective as a regular AC but much better than a fan.

the cooler has salt water and ice packs together with a cheap aquarium pump, water is circulated through plastic tubing and a copper pipe in front of the fan to cool the air. there are tons of instructions for these on youtube and it’s pretty easy to put together.

total cost: around 50 euros and everything can be found at a hardware store. (for fellow swedes: biltema!)

There's this little (figurative) voice in my head that keeps insisting that somehow I should be embarrassed about being so thoroughly enamored of and invested in a mythos filled with pastel-hued talking horses.

That voice can go sit with the rest of the non-voting members. Everything else in my head is just happy to have something I can feel this enthusiastic about!

It's a set of books that manages to take so much of what's so compelling about the world of _My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic_ and adapt it to the CW'd tabletop RP systems.

It reminds me – in all the best ways – of the ponified D&D 4e campaign that @baxil ran, and that I had the privilege of participating in. I haven't read sourcebooks this eagerly in a _long_ time.

Alt-Right White Wolf Article: Update 

You may have seen the article going around from "Dog With Dice" about how the latest version of White Wolf's "Vampire: The Masquerade" was specifically written for and marketed to the alt-right.

The article author's whole site is now dead and their Twitter account has been deleted without explanation.

I suspect foul play and severe harassment from alt-right 4channers.
