Even some options to get a character drawn by a well-known artist.

Also, frickin' quit it with reminding me that you didn't find anything distasteful to you, Windows Defender. I know that, because I already set you to throw a shit-fit if something turns up suspicious. We already get force-notified when your force-fed updates happen, so we know you're working. Have some damn quiet dignity.

And the fix for the sudden but inexplicable plummet in video performance, especially pixel shaders?

Roll back the system to three days prior, before I installed the Visual C++ 2013 Redistributable.

Damn it all, , if installing such a major component of your own can do something so apparently unrelated as that to Windows 10, why does the OS let me install the damn thing at all?

*sighs* Still, technically better than Windows 7 and 8....

scarcity is absurd

we have all the logistical data and infrastructure necessary to provide for the material needs of all people, full stop. we could abolish prices on every survival commodity and we wouldn't run out of anything. food, housing, medicine. supply systems are documented and understood. demand is tracked and calculated. we could just drop the price tag and go on like nothing else had changed. we are that productive. scarcity is that fake.

The U.S. market value of a heartbeat.

Our leaders say:

At 18 days of fetal development, we have heartbeats, and thus are precious beyond measure and should not be aborted; we are human life.

At 18 years of age, after trying our very best to overcome mental and physical barriers we were worthwhile enough to be born with, some of us are incapable of doing enough work that other people want to buy; we are _not_ owed basic human living.

The message? They don't consider us human.

Fuck capitalism.

universal basic income

If I got free money (like the US$16k/yr the article mentioned) I know I'd use that stability to faff around a bit, but I'd also poke around, try harder to find something I like to do and is beneficial to society. That's very hard for me to do right now. If I could pursue that with an easy safety net, I'd be overjoyed.

universal basic income

I believe in the idea of a universal basic income, as it would give a no-strings-attached floor of economic stability to everyone. Yes, there's social services to help the poor/needy, but they're often insanely bureaucratic, degrading, and overly punishing of mistakes.

News story about a program in Iran which paid out basic money to everyone finds that, on the whole, people didn't immediately get lazy.

What I meant:
"Now that we have this aromatic candle going, we can indulge in some cannabis and discuss a story we want to write collaboratively."

What I said:
"Now that that's lit, we can get lit and talk lit."

I could have sworn that it was e621.net that embedded an image post's tags into the image's metadata, but that seems not to be the case. Did I merely dream this functionality up, or is there some other furry media site that does this?

Here's a post with a bunch of links to all the planned parenthood locations that will rx you HRT (with financial aid!)

I can literally not watch an anarchist talk about bullshit jobs without being made to sign into a website and give them access to my facebook.

There is nothing left in the world worth saving. Bring me the gasoline.

I'm beginning to suspect that the privacy controls that people ultimately want for social media websites would basically just be a reimplementation of Circles from google plus.
