@aparrish The chainsaw will not sustain any damage, although you may want to give though to what surface you clamp the keyboard to - a wood bench perhaps, try to avoid metal. The keyboard will likely launch keycaps, and depending on age, metal keyclips, springs, plastic buckers as debris. A modern cheap keyboard with membrane keyswitches will pose no obstacle: an old Model M with a steel backplate should be avoided for obvious reasons, but you've covered that angle. Good luck!
While I'm blathering (A question of nature)
@Phorm What you _are_, dear, is adorable, cute, whimsical, playful, mischevious, sexy, generous, and, well. You know. It's plain to see. Just look! The secret is right here...
*clink*
...at the bottom of this bottle. Go on. Look inside. n.n

@zebratron2084 Keep us posted. We're useless, but persistent. 💜
@emanate @ElectricKeet Borges! Right, *THIS* universe. Heh. And, well, depends, 13th century if you're thinking the Activision cart for the 2600 but I only played that on a black and white TV but I'll get back to that once I finish looking up the lyrics on this cover because I'm almost certain the lead singer just pulled a Lady Mondegreen -
- is that my hat hanging on the wall?
... how many years has it been there for?
... *huh*.
Nsfw(?) art
@angrboda o.O That is, without a doubt, the illustration in the OED next to the entry for 'Adorkable'. She's amazing. n.n
@ElectricKeet all the while you're in the middle of discussing 14th-century Basque architecture and how it relates to Q-Bert level design, because you went off on a tangent about Eco's infinite library that applied to the geometry of roof tiles that's like that, or you're *trying* to, what with the music turned up too loud in here, and your hot dog always seems to get cold before you can finish it somehow?
CW: Toronto van incident
A gentle reminder, dear friends, regarding the van attack in north Toronto this afternoon.
Nobody knows much anything solid yet, that will probably change in time.
The driver is in custody, the injured are being tended to.
Carry on. Practice self care. Check on a friend.
And let's recall a primary use of the net at times like these:
💜
@porsupah @Austin_Dern I'm reminded of a Bradbury (?) tale where a time traveller found themselves confronting an apatosaur. They were unconcerned as its head approached, knowing the dino was an herbivore: the apatosaur only needed to chew the strange new shoot briefly before it decided it wasn't edible, but by then, the damage was done. n.n
@Austin_Dern yes. Yessss. Good. 🌙 🐇
Friends, thank you for bearing with me during this long period of mental health ickiness.
@ElectricKeet Perhaps, metaphorically as well as literally, spring is coming after too long a winter.
@Leucrotta And their assistant, who has a few ✨plush✨ arms sewn onto their turtleneck sweater and goes on and on about how they didn't learn how to do it *this* way but never lifts a 'pod to actually help, except to restore the subject to a neutral position between takes.
You know. Good kid, but a bit of a poseaur. XD
Friends, thank you for bearing with me during this long period of mental health ickiness.
@ElectricKeet I am glad you're having a good moment: I wish you many more.💜
@noelle nyah hah hah!
@Leucrotta Or someone whose lower torso is actually an inert mannequin, with a set of four posable arms for legs, who can only move when your attention is distracted or between blinks by rapidly repositioning their artificial limbs - an armataure.
@noelle wait so wait wait what wait
so you're telling me some spacedude just, what, straight-up pulled uranium
out of his butt
@noelle Jackalopes dig groceries. Wish I could give more. *presses the buttons*
Woo
*looks upwards* It has not escaped our notice that our many concurrent projects are piling up again, and our progress has stalled as our path backtracks on itself. This is as it is meant to be, of course, and others have far more pressing issues and concerns. A small boon wouldn't be turned down, however, if there were any to spare.
The offering of a new project's beginning is made, Your Pointyness. Help us ready the warren, the better to carry other works to completion?
@Ulfra_Wolfe *offers a hug*
I can't speak for everyone.
But personally, I've found moving forward is the only long-term reliable means of leaving pain behind.
I wish it could be easier.
