Kink...?

@indi Ooooh, been wanting to read that for a while. And oh wait, I have a Kindle now! :-D

late night ponderings; worries

@literorrery @KoBunny Hah, and I should read the rest of my timeline before responding.
Still, statement stands. :-)

Sorry not sorry

@literorrery Hi I'm one-third a queer kobold toy already. :-D

Also, while I'm thinking of doing good in the world, please remember that tomorrow is , and your local gaming and comics shop needs love. My local store is Phoenix Comics -- phoenixseattle.com/ -- and they do an amazing job of supporting local creators and queer artists. If you have a local shop, please consider taking time out of your Saturday to visit and show your support for creators across a broad spectrum of fields. If you're local, maybe I'll see you at Phoenix. :)

late night ponderings; worries

@KoBunny @literorrery It should also be noted: it's totally fine to explore theses things and find that it /doesn't/ fit, and you don't need to feel any pressure for deciding either way.
I'll support you as much as I possibly can.

@sev@witches.town I'd totally spread that as a story. :-D

@KawaSeadrake
.....hm! It's appropriate that I left that on my altar then. :-)

@ElectricKeet I am definitely down for trying this sometime.
And you know I have good headphones already. :-)

Gender griping

@KawaSeadrake But your enbyness is... pretty similar to mine, so. :-}

Gender griping

@KawaSeadrake Oh yeah, definitely!
I know I'm never the first to learn such things, but recent experience is something I will always try to share. I've found you can never know how much even saying 'Oh yeah, I experienced that' helps someone else.

Sometimes it veers a /little/ close to trying to sound like I empathize with everything everywhere... I'm trying to also get better at saying 'no, that's a very different experience, I can't offer much there'.

Gender griping

@KawaSeadrake Yeah.

Heck, I remember back when I did have a different retail job, and sometimes I was running on automatic, and I used 'sir' for a female-presenting person by accident, or would use 'ma'am' for a male-presenting person, and... mentally facepalm. It would have been much easier then if I'd had a neutral one to use all the time.

Gender griping

@KawaSeadrake *sigh* I get that a /lot/ at my work too. Been wanting to wear an actual button saying 'Not Sir'.

One customer used 'sir' at me every other sentence, and I did politely ask him to stop. He also works in a service industry of some sort, so he kinda had it drilled into him.

I've had to train myself out of that too, and use 'folks' or something neutral instead. It's hard.

Guns

@starkatt Yeah, I went out shooting years back, just the once. I will never use guns if I can at all help it, but...there's something to knowing how to use one, just in case.

plural stuff

@Oneironott Eep, your poor paw!
Nice to have someone to help you through the pain. :-)

@starkatt That's right up there with a super-accelarated depleted uranium minigun named Reason. :-D

Plural stuff

@indi @Oneironott I'm kinda in this boat too; some of my selves I've constructed from scratch. But the dominant one now, the phoenix, is....sorta coming from external and sort internal? Integrated into me, but came to me out of a story and a dream.
I still consider myself plural, but yeah it's complicated.

I need to remember this place is here.
A bit stretched thin at the moment for social spaces; nothing is ever centralized anymore.
I have Slack, Twitter, Telegram, Discord, and now this. It's... a bit much, but it's hard to disengage with most of them entirely (except Discord, which I /also/ forget exists most of the time).

This is like back in the day, when I had 2 MUCK windows, AIM, ICQ, and several IRC channels all at once. Madness. :-P
