"Everything is true."
"Even false things?"
"Even false things are true."
"How can that be?"
"I dunno man, I didn't do it."

@starkatt *dances fifth-dimensionally* :)
@starkatt the funny thing is, the fundamental uncertainty of things is backed up by the hardest of science, from the scale of multiple universes to the particles that make up quarks, and across the vague understanding we have of time. not to mention that the vast majority of what we think of as "reality" in the orthocosm is a series of communal agreements, tricks of perception based on our history and tribal conditioning which can vary wildly with only slightly different angles of belief...
car crash!
@Prawnlegs holy crap! I'm so glad you're okay, and the fact that Ezra was able to stop without hitting the car in front indicates that they were driving *very* safely! if only the people behind you had been driving safely too... >___<
@kobold omg so cute!!
@tenta @leafnoodle aw, this is really cute! I'm sorry curator was a dickcheese to you. :( I'd be happy to follow you here and see more of your art!
Writing, Social Stuff (-)
@hummingrain if you want to do a low-key writing hangout on like Thursday afternoon, I'd totally be up for that--just meet up in a cafe somewhere, say hi, and write for a while. preferably someplace with air conditioning. or a library... XD
Writing, Social Stuff (-)
@hummingrain UGH I'M SORRY I FORGOT. >____ < I need to figure out some way of reminding myself Saturday night so I can at least say something if I'm not going to be able to make it, but I really want to go! /headdesk
Dr. Rajagopalan Vasudevan has, since his pilot project in 2002, replaced 10,000km of roads in India with an asphalt that includes recycled consumer plastic as a binder.
The plastic melts at a safe temperature - 100C below its burning point, so it doesn't release toxins into the air - and replaces 10% of the bitumen normally used. It prevents potholes (since it seals the bitumen-asphalt gaps water would seep into) and reduces waste.

An interview with Rebecca Sugar, creator of #StevenUniverse:

She talks about how the Gems are coded as female but are nonbinary, and explicitly says she is a nonbinary woman herself. It legit brought happy tears to my eyes.

@noelle heh, I was ranting about this so loud that Spouse came in from the living room to find out what the problem is. XD the Feinstein argument of "but this supreme court justice thing could mean the end of Roe vs. Wade, we need someone with experience!" would have a lot more weight if we didn't have a fucking quarter-century's experience of Feinstein CAVING ON EVERYTHING. it's too important to trust to Feinstein, that's for damn sure.
