@literorrery @Soreth *applies extra soft snugs and pets to a sweet girldrake*

@literorrery @kelseyhusky @adeptomega I'm not 100% sure but I could probably find time this weekend ^^

@green Yeah, this is our 3rd major power outage in 2 months. I think a house generator is in our future.

Our whole neighborhood just lost power again

Our UPS says it can run our wireless network for the next 10+ hours though, which is pretty rad.

@adeptomega They got wiped because Awoo ran out of disk space a while ago

Home Improvement

@KoBunny I've thought about it!

This carpet install was done by contractors, but we had originally planned to do it ourselves :3

Home Improvement

Awww yissss, new carpet!! :D

The old one didn't even have a pad and was barely tacked down; probably 20 years old, too. The new one has the super ✨plush✨ pad under it and is much thicker pile, it's like walking on clouds ;o;

Terminology, Gender/Anatomy, Slurs, Open Question

@KawaSeadrake "So what exactly do you call someone who's AMAB, post-op, and identifies he/him without regret?"

Whatever they're most comfortable being called! :D

My favorite term that I've heard so far: "Vagentleman" :D

@Miffy Insofar as I understand and believe, that's a function of how we as emotional beings relate to characters in a story ♥️

I love painting the trans narrative on characters that could plausibly fit it ^^

meds

@IrisKalmia Predictability during times of stress is definitely a good thing.

If I were you, I'd flag 3-4 days a little less than 2 weeks from now in your calendar as "pay close attention to mental state" days to see how that spike might have affected you

meds

@IrisKalmia You can always drop it back down later if it doesn't work out-- but you won't know for 2 weeks. :x

@KawaSeadrake Yeah! It's really neat to see the things that *almost* worked from the perspective of knowing what /does/ work.

That brings up another thing that I love to think about: An average being born in the past 50 years has a base understanding of how and why an airplane flies.

An average adult being born in the past 20 years has a base understanding of how and why a computer works.

Our _base knowledge_ as a species is growing exponentially and it's just AWESOME. :D
