I might stumble over zie/zir in person, but good to know they/them is safe. Heck, I still stumble over my /own/ neopronouns in verbal speech (ve/ver/vis).
It's really heartwarming to not just see a kid having new gender experiences, but also know their parent is very supportive. :-)
