Twice Baked
I did it.
Prototype 0.0.1 completed.
I hit the Fruity Pebbles, about a bowl-and-a-half... and then I prepared an almond cinnamon flourless jaconde with butterscotch chips.
I completed a full task in the kitchen while high. #baking
"Really good baked goods for when you're good and really baked." -- @ElectricKeet
Can... can you do that? Load a new save mid-run? #adgq2018
And that's my five critiques. Edits on my submission for @CircletPress and the readings for my other big project left to do. #writing
... and that's three critiques done. And I'm realizing I may have a problem, 'cause I'm referencing Slate Star Codex articles in my critique. But for once, I think it's warranted. I can't wait to see this one revised. So much potential. #editing
OS talk stuff from a non tech person. Basically I don’t get it.
@Miffy Having seen people in the pen ownership community do this with inks and nibs, this is a real good analogy.
Attention deficit.
Cooking
Important safety tip: no-knead bread dough will develop a skin on it from drying out even if you don't leave it in the oven. Cover or seal with pin prick air holes to minimize.
I found this out the hard way this morning. Gonna try a little manual rehydration since it's sitting in the fridge for three days before I bake it.

"I deplore that term, Mr. Grego. The suffix is Greek, from 'logos'. Fuzzy is not a Greek word, and should not be combined with it."
"Oh rubbish, Ernst. We're not speaking Greek; we're speaking Lingua Terra...and you'd better learn to like the term, because it's your new title. Chief Fuzzyologist; fifteen per cent salary increase."
Mallin gave one of his tight little smiles. "For that, I believe I can condone a linguistic barbarism."

whinging about ideal self
@makyo I see you. You can be a cat, to the extent we can envoke this together. It's possible to go pretty deep with that. Mom is also possible, at least in all the ways that deeply matter. I hear the distress in your voice and I sympathize. I know how close I can get, and I know how it feels when even those feelings aren't enough.
@Azure I liked mine before I transitioned.
That probably helps explain why I had to transition.
Shit What Adept Says
@KoBunny @adeptomega I've counted three.
Shit What Adept Says
"The benefits of a graduate degree; I can meow." #nocontexttheater {9}
Movies, representation, PoC thoughts
@kelseyhusky @KoBunny I would love to be part of that, but I bet opening weekend is pretty much gone already.
birdsite, essay
This is possibly the most important essay I’ve read in the past year (as in 365 days): http://www.rookiemag.com/2018/01/editors-letter-75/
@zebratron2084 @acetone_kitten "Today's memo: as of this morning, you work for Multitech! Please remove all references to GigaBench from your communications."
"Wait, GigaBench? What happened to WireSide?"
"WireSide lasted about a week, before their currency got hacked. Coinshare devalued them to less than lira, so they rebranded."
"... Turkish or Italian?"
"Turkish. Italy's on the Euro."
"Italy, yes; Italians, no. GigaBench it is, then."
"I think you mean Multitech."
"Oh, right."

Also, watch that second one completely, for all the dance animations. This game is _extremely #pfaf.
@Sparf I'm not really a people. I fake being a people very well. I am, by turns, a highly efficient word-machine, a lilac English Spot with delusions of tricksterhood, a self-aware nanocolony, hrair bunis trying to steer a buni-ship, any one of several birds or bird-like substances, or a very tight-assed dragon. At no point do I ever actually "be a people."
