Birdsite, more ubisoft talk

Tempted to go on bird site to yell at ubisoft but idk

Wish there was a more reasonable channel that they might actually listen to but

There isn't

@modernmodron yea it's. not great.

There are a lot of fantastic parts to the game so like. It's still worth playing if you don't mind playing around that quest line. They did some great stuff with the main story.

Description of transphobia

@modernmodron there's ableism to boot because he supposedly actually believes he's his mom and so the only way to deal with this is to put him down

It's not great

negative

@thefishcrow me neither tbf. We got this though

Description of transphobia

@modernmodron I'm still playing it because I really enjoy it so much........ There's just a sidequest where you have to kill a man who, after his mom dies, kills people who use brothels including his father and dresses up as his mom and the whole thing sets it up like he's actually a woman so it does the whole "haha we fooled you it was actually a man pretending to be a woman" type of thing

It's frustrating

negative

@thefishcrow we'll try our best to survive. Regardless of how society develops people like us will survive. We got this

Ah yeah just what assassin's creed origins needed.

A transphobic quest.

Tabletop talky

@Mycroft (apologies for any anxiety this may cause I am no stranger to anxiety from suddenly dropped conversation)

Tabletop talky

@Mycroft so anyway- half-orcs are out lol

Tabletop talky

@Mycroft nah i've just been thniking about it and playing games/watching stuff with the boy

i think since i'm opening up the traditionally monstrous humanoids a lot as being a part of society there really isn't a lot of room for "humans are special cuz they have babies with everything"

I think my one exception is with elves for the reason I mentioned before - they're the only ones whose hereditary magic embraces change (in relation to how nature functions in particular)

Tabletop talky

@Mycroft Half elves being their own thing is cool. Maybe I'll roll with that.

Tabletop talky

@Leucrotta @Mycroft mycroft might be on to something here now that I'm thinking about it

Thinking along the lines of how I already have bloodline magic ideas I'm imagining that most bloodlines overpower human bloodlines so that's why shared ancestry is rare, with the exception of elves whose close association with nature accept and embrace natural change as a part of the world

I like half elves a lot but I think I'll get rid of half orcs

Tabletop talky

@Mycroft I like the concept of humans having deep-seated ancestry in their blood. It's a cool concept. We just need to remove the gross parts of it and stop dehumanizing things just because they aren't human enough
