@a_breakin_glass Oh yeah, sorry for not making it clear, it is definitely the ecosystem that is the problem.
(That being said if I was redoing it now, I'd sill use a language that has broader awareness and better tooling. :))
There's stuff I like about MUF actually. I like how stack-based languages can easily be worked through in the head/on paper, and debugged via a simple trace of the stack.
The real problem is that your dev environment is "line editor over telnet" ;)

Would be really nice to have a MU* with like, modern affordances like rich protocols/clients and web accessibility and stuff. I have friends who've worked on such, but it's a biiiiig undertaking it turns out.

I mean, I gotta be real though, MUF (the MUCK scripting language) is even more irritating than LSL in my opinion. ;)

@literorrery Perhaps distressingly, at least in stopped-clock terms, I think it is The BookFace which now has different flavors of reaction-clicks and of course Slack and Discord open it up to the whole emoji-set which... helps some of that... and introduces a whole set of new problems. 9.9

Seconding the MUCK! We even have a custom webclient now (https://muck.postfurry.net) which should make it a lot easier for a lot of folks.
Also there's board games tonight if you're up for meatspace meetings. :)

@Thaminga @Ratttz I think maybe part of it is that, from a game designer POV, doing the zoning thing, which is to say clearly dividing 'work' and 'home', provides a very clear basis for the sort of trip-generation they have to do to support interesting traffic-design problem.
So just a bit of design/imagination failure.
