I didn't actually know the bit about the history of the arcade, it was Portal 1 for as long as I was there, so I assumed the decor was off-brand "Stargate-y" stuff (as was the style in arcades at the time). I wish I'd known it was Mobius stuff, I would've appreciated it more. XD
Birbsite, good design thread

Sorta a sequel to the one @irisjaycomics shared previously about DisneyQuest.
I remember going to the Metreon a lot when I was first in SF in the mid-2000's, I could already see it starting to go downhill then, but I loved it. I'm honestly pretty sad to see how the story ended.
@ElectricKeet Not at all.
Heck, I get annoyed when I have to put in zip code when I already put in my address...
Not to mention credit card type when I already put in the number. I mean _I_ can look at a card number and tell the type, and I'm not even a computer, usually! ;)
@makyo Come to think of it I think you could do a really good Rey cosplay... But you'd probably have to boring-up the hair and that'd be a shame. :)
@literorrery FWIW I'd definitely want to read all of them myself. :)
@literorrery @Rosemary This is what came to mind for me too; if you constructed it right it should be easy for folks to filter in/out specific ones based on regex stuff; you could even give info on how to do that in the account bio.
Perhaps their designer is Dr. Ester S. Hoy?
@anthracite Not only that, it took me a lot of squinting tor read what it as actually trying to say.
"Dr. Ess Theory"?
Someone should fire their designer, and I don't say that sort of thing lightly.

@KawaSeadrake The hair-gradient is reversed in most of them, and in general the tail is presented in a way that's easy to miss the important part of it.
Honestly the best pic is the NSFW one but there the colors are (intentionally) off, plus it's NSFW.

@Thaminga I've tried a bit, but I feel like there's a big gulf to cross to get to the point where seeing my own attempts at that wouldn't yuck me out even more. >.<

I mean I think this is a huge proportion of why like I don't get art very often (money aside); it's always this huge gauntlet of "How do I get folks to see me correctly, hnnnngh"

Oh cool cool cool that special flavor of dysphoria that comes from "oops all my refsheets are subtly wrong"

@zebratron2084 I don't have the details; I only heard about it as a user, it was over fast enough that a lot of us didn't even notice. :)
And we'd love to have you! :)

@zebratron2084 Earlier today the Postfurry Discord successfully fended off an attack by random internet garbage-people; the way that little corner of stuff has come together and grown has been really humbling and inspiring, to me.
On a personal level, I always like hearing from you, good times or rough times, and I present myself for therapeutic cuddlings and/or maulings, or just distraction. *sprawls out, glows in several indescribably neon colors*
reality tv rec, personal +
@vahnj Yay I was thinking about watching this too and your rec really helps. ^.^;

chainmaille, bear subculture, pride
@adeptomega Oh yeah the left version is exactly what I was imagining and trying to describe yesterday. :)
@adeptomega I think i it is important that you mention it falls under 'profits'? :)
@Lobst Words cannot express how excited I am to see this. :D

@irisjaycomics Oh, wow. The full (AMAZING) experience is new to me, but some of the attractions themselves look eerily familiar; I think they must have been part of a pilot thingy at Tomorrowland in California when I went there with a church thing in the late 90's.
