I have been included on an email thread in which a marketing manager is repeatedly requesting last minute changes to a web form someone else is creating.
Every last minute feature request reads like a half drunken stranger leaning in to suggest terrible ideas, just with a bit more eloquence -- and includes buzzwords like whoa

It is literally so complex that it doesn't shut off when they [sleep]. And every one is structurally incapable of distinguishing fantasy from reality.
That is what makes them so powerful. They can look at the universe in all of its totally and just… dismiss it. Dream a new one to take its place, and be so convinced, they make it real.
