@taneka And webcomics! And Kickstarter! :-)
@taneka Yeah! It's been so good to see all the new stuff in only the last few years we've been open, titles from Boom or Oni or even Image.
@taneka I live it and am in somewhat unique of a situation to help queer comics along! I work at a very queer-friendly comic book store in Seattle, and we're getting as much queer stuff as we can on the shelves, including Kickstarting books like Tabula Idem. Also supporting some of the smaller press and local comics creators.
I am pretty damn lucky and proud to be in this field. :-)
@starkatt I didn't even know the word, but I think I (and lots of others I know) are basically already living that. :-)
@taneka Beyond is full of all the kinds of work I kinda hope to be doing too someday. :-)
And I especially love cute companion-model androids, so yeah!
Did you ever see the Mother Of Invention fiction anthology KS? Various stories of the creation pf AI by way of anything /but/ the usual cisgender heterosexual white guy. Lots of cool diverse writers involved. :-)

@MagentaForge Nice! It literally doesn't make a difference what to choose there. If you've got it already, you've got it. :-)
@taneka Hello! Good to see more creator-types getting on here!
I Kickstarted the Beyond Anthology 1 (and 2), and have been reading Love Circuits as well. Thanks for your good work! :-)

@MagentaForge I think check in the section for 4 elements, there's some cross-referencing there to the cardinal points.
Pretty sure that's where I got the element/direction stuff from, which I've reflected in my bedrooms for years, long enough to memorize.
It's definitely only /one/ variation, but mine tend to be:
North : Earth
West : Water
East : Air
South : Fire
@Momentrabbit I still tear up at the Rainbow Connection song. :-)
Dumb Persona Joke
Thinking of the short story-snippet I wrote recently, where Lai builds himself a new body and tests it out.
The body is a cyborg: a lot of internal machinery but with flesh and fur on top, with a bit of gene-splicing to have better conductivity. Ultimately, Lai went with organic outerware because he wanted to enhance the skin sensitivity, and organic nerves are still more efficient at that than synthetic.
Besides, he didn't have any need to reinvent the feel.
Identity; plurality
I've been thinking lately, I need to train myself out of something.
Specifically, when someone says "you're a bird" or similar, my response is usually "part of the time, yes," because I still want my other selves to be acknowledged. But that also gives the impression that I'm only one of them at a time.
I am a phoenix, and a kobold, and an otter. At the same time, even if only one /usually/ fronts. All of these are true, without contradiction.
"You're a phoenix." "Yep!"
moving plans & thoughts
@Oneironott Yeah, erf, that's difficult. Everyone wants to believe in their own goodness, and doesn't want to think about others being mean.
But it does happen.
@Ampersand Hello crow! :>
@Jacel I made one just to be more comfortable, but a lot of folks just put lewd under content warnings and it works fine.
High toots / mild woo
@KawaSeadrake Hmmm... Paging @starkatt. :-P
@neonNeptunian @mawr @kelseyhusky Eeeeee! Oh gosh, is that as big as it looks? Half the size of your bed? So snuggly!
@indi Oh awesome! That'll be really neat, and easier to stand around than the porch. :-)
